The endless view of these stone pillars inside this 1400+ years old Lord Ekambareswarar Temple in Chennai (India) gives a glimpse of an ancient but remarkable construction technology by VijayaNagara Kings. There are 1000 pillars surrounding the main shrine and is often called thousand-pillared hall. A single pradakshinam (circumambulation) covering all the pillars around the main shrine looking through an array of 1008 Siva Lingams in the inner walls is something to experience.
